This is the most important hormone in the male body and we generally know it as the hormone that makes a man a man.

As the years added to the age, it is very common that the testosterone level gets affected which in turn affects the sexual vitality, strength, and energy. The quality of life gets affected because of it.

Due to imbalances in the body and malfunctioning of the adrenal gland, it is the movement towards the over reduction of testosterone that produces many of the problems in the men age 39 years and above.

Around 95% of the testosterone is made in the testes and rest is made in adrenal gland. The testosterone is so powerful that, just a nanogram (billionth of gram) of testosterone develops the fetus as a male.

The testosterone level in the men of age 39 years and above slowly decline with the rate of 1.2% per year and by the age of 100 years, generally testosterone disappear entirely.

As it is a natural process of reduction of testosterone level with the age, but we are intend to here is unnatural loss of testosterone due to other reasons.

There are different stages of hormonal shifts in every man with the age.

Synopsis

"Testosterone has lately gained the media attention because of its misuse by sportspersons to enhance the performances or because of its ability to increase the sexual desires. However there are other non-sexual health issues related to the deficiency of testosterone level, though these conditions have not been recognized and addressed by the medical community. Everyone gets affected by testosterone as they age. Testosterone reduces the sexual desire, until it is entirely disappears. It induces weakness and takes away the energy making life dull and unenjoyably. Its deficiency is also related to some serious diseases such as type II diabetes, depression and congestive heart failure.

The health of every man and woman will be significantly affected whether they become aware of this rarely treated widespread disease or not. Dr. Gordon’s insight and knowledge of testosterone replacement therapy has been a welcome addition to my sex therapy practice.it has enabled me to add testosterone replacement to my therapeutic armamentarium, helping to maximize my treatment successes.

ATHEROSCLEROSIS OF THE PENILE ARTERIES (BASICALLY FAT CLOGGED ARTERIES)

Many doctors and researchers believe that the half of the erectile dysfunction is caused by the fat clogged arteries. Erection depends on the blood supply to the penis and hence the clogged arteries cause insufficient blood supply to produce an erection.

DIABETES RELATED HIGH BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS, WHICH CAUSE A NARROWING OF THE BLOOD VESSELS.

There are around 1.5 million male diabetics in Britain itself, and diabetes is also believed to cause impotency in half of them.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS, STRESS/ANXIETY/WORRIES

Sexual dysfunction creates anxiety and anxiety is in contrast to what is required to have good sexual experience. Anxiety has its own psychological effects. The minute you doubt yourself and the anxiety will cause your penis to go flaccid as anxiety naturally produces a certain chemicals that are produced after male orgasm to make the penis flaccid.

EXIXTING MEDICATION THAT YOU ARE TAKING CAN ALSO CAUSE ERECTION PROBLEMS.

Check for the side effects of any medication that you are taking as there are certain medications that are known to have this kind of side effect.

OVER INDULGENCE

Try to keep yourself away from overeating and over consumption of alcohol. Especially the alcohol interferes in achieving and maintaining the optimum erection for better performance and pleasure.
